you could memorise to buy salt if it is less than 150 and sell if it is more than 200. I never "assess prices" - I look myself what is cheap enough to buy and what is good to sell. Often stuff is cheap in villages if it's produced there. Except don't compete with your business like buying resources in towns where your own business needs them or sell goods which your business produces there. If you see something cheap buy it and then sell it when it is highly priced. I haven't seen it worth investing in your own character. I guess it prolly fits to the mod in some extent too.ġ. I know the basics: buy low, sell high but whenever I assess the prices in the cities the profits are meagre, like 45-80 denars.ġ.- Is trade skill really worth the skill points?Ģ.- How much money do you usually get for a sucessful trade route?ģ.- How do you trade in this game? What is the process to do so effectively? (I have seen some maps and a online guide but I'd like to hear other opinions from Floris and Vanilla experienced players). That's why I'm wondering about how the economy in warband works now, because I want to try a new playthrough with a merchant-focused character in order to grasp the basics and apply them in the future. But none are profitable enough to field my army of elite Vaegirs without having deserters after 3 weeks or so. I have tried participating in tournaments, selling useless loot (including some masterworks, sometimes), quests, manhunting, et cetera. So I have been playing Warband for quite a while (homepage purchase) and I'm a complete noob when it comes to economics :( I usually field armies with a weekly cost of 7k denars -I play Floris mod most of the time- and it takes a few weeks for me to go bankrupt.
